    Job Description

    The Quality Assurance Manager reports directly to the Chief Inspector.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

    • QA Experience (preferred with Part 145 and/or Part 121) working with a Quality Management System (QMS) and familiarity with FARs required.
    • Familiarity with EASA regulations preferred.
    • Familiarity with SMS a plus.
    • Component level maintenance experience preferred.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Strong computer skills are a must, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Organizational skills

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Coordinate, edit and distribute revisions to repair station manuals.
    • Coordinate FAA inspections.
    • Respond to requests for inspection of this repair station’s certificate.
    • Ensure that work accomplished outside the repair station’s fixed location is performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
    • Assure that periodic checks are accomplished on all inspection tools and calibrated tooling in use at the repair station and maintain records of those checks on the appropriate forms.
    • Audit all vendor maintenance functions before use and maintain records of the results of those audits.
    • Establish and maintain the repair station employee training records.
    • Continuously review the repair stations training program to ensure all the repair station’s training needs are met.
    • Audit work order packages as required.
    • Assure compliance with the shelf-life program as described in RSQM.
    • Assure compliance with the ESDS program as described in RSQM.
    • Revise and edit GAI manuals as necessary to remain in compliance with company policies/procedures and all regulatory agencies.
    • Responsible for monitoring duty hours to ensure compliance with 14 CFR Part 121.377.
    • Perform Receiving inspection as required.
    • Export compliance.
    • Coordinate customer audits of the repair station.
