    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Aviation Construction Coordinator to support major airfield and infrastructure projects at Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating construction execution under FAA regulations, ensuring seamless communication between contractors, engineers, and airport operations, and maintaining compliance with all project requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and track execution of airfield construction activities in accordance with FAA standards and project specifications.
    • Manage daily runway and taxiway closure requests within the Air Operations Area (AOA), routing them for QA/QC review and operational clearance.
    • Lead and organize contractor correspondence, including RFIs, submittals, notices, and change requests, ensuring complete documentation and traceability.
    • Review and verify project quantities for monthly pay applications and support cost justification and documentation.
    • Facilitate weekly construction meetings, prepare detailed meeting minutes, and track action items, field updates, and schedule performance.
    • Support the change order process from initial field request through cost/schedule analysis and documentation.
    • Maintain organized project records, technical documentation, and schedule updates using Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Oracle Unifier.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • This position will require a Motor Vehicle Check, along with a drug and alcohol check

    Preferred Experience:

    • Master’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
    • CCM certification from CMAA
    • CMIT certification from CMAA
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil or aviation infrastructure construction.
    • Strong understanding of FAA airfield construction standards, safety procedures, and documentation practices.
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 , MS Project , Autodesk Construction Cloud , Oracle Unifier , and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
    • CMIT or Primavera P6 Professional certification preferred.
    • Experience with large airport or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with pay application review, schedule tracking, and cost control workflows.
    • Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and produce well-structured documentation and reporting.
