The purpose of this position is to assist the Aviation Operations Manager in managing daily airport operations and the supervision of the operations staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Supervises operations personnel by prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring adequate staff training and adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
Ø Assists the Aviation Operations Manager with enforcing airport rules and regulations, minimum standards, and airport standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ø Coordinates annual fire monitoring and fire suppression inspections.
Ø Assists with coordination of the annual Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 139 inspection and ensures the airport complies with the Airport Certification Manual (ACM).
Ø Issues Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs).
Ø Serves as the alternate Airport Security Coordinator (ASC).
Ø Assists with developing and revising airport policies affecting airport safety and security to maintain Part 139 certification and Part 1542 regulations.
Ø Assists with the management of landside operations at the commercial terminal including parking and overflow operations.
Ø Assists in emergency response operations.
Ø Assists with the wildlife management program.

Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school, with at least three (3) years of relevant and supervisory experience; or the City may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
