    Position Overview:
    Our engagement team is urgently seeking a highly qualified Aviation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support aviation security strategy and coordination efforts with the U.S. Department of State. This individual will serve as a key member of the State-Defense Integration Team , advising on aviation-related threats, foreign policy implications, and integrated security procedures. The SME will also play a critical role in supporting arrivals briefings for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at headquarters.

    Key Responsibilities:**

    • Aviation Security Policy Support:
      Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. foreign policy as it relates to global aviation security, with an emphasis on current and future military operations, risk environments, and the evolving threat landscape.

    • Emerging Threats Leadership:
      Lead strategic discussions and develop deliverables addressing future aviation security issues, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), high-altitude operations, space equities, and emerging/unspecified threats to civil and military aviation.

    • State/Defense Integration :
      Collaborate with Department of State and Department of Defense stakeholders to identify and address integration issues. Leverage subject matter expertise to recommend best practices and solutions across interagency teams.

    • UNGA Arrivals Briefing:
      Assist with the creation and delivery of aviation-related arrivals procedure briefings at UNGA headquarters. Serve as a U.S. Department of State representative in coordination and planning efforts.

    Basic Qualifications:**

    • Active Secret security clearance
    • Valid U.S. Citizenship
    • Prior experience supporting aviation security, military operations, or interagency coordination
    • Strong understanding of U.S. foreign policy and aviation-related threat environments
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing development and delivery
    • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional government teams
