    HOURS: 8 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

    DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

    The Systems Configuration Designer, OEM & Manifolds' job is to develop and create manifold drawings and product detail drawings for our OEM & Manifold systems. Regarding standard Avidity Science OEM and Manifold products, establish and maintain application information.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

    Using customer/OEM drawings, sketches, and verbal guidance, create and update OEM & Manifold designs and detail drawings of varied complexity.

    Assist our OEM and Manifold application engineering teams with drawing generation and updates.

    Create and maintain product application manuals, Manifold drawings, detail drawings, and configuration tools that specify how our products should be used to satisfy the demands of our customers.

    Check the work of others in the department for accuracy and completeness.

    Carry out responsibilities in accordance with business policies, SOPs, work instructions, the Quality Manual, and industry standards.

    Demonstrate accountability for meeting agreed-upon obligations and timeframes by completing work tasks.

    Travel to customer/OEM sites as needed to assist with sales and service of our goods.

    Support all departmental and corporate policies and initiatives, with an emphasis on employee preferences, in order to make Avidity Science the preferred place to work, while directing our efforts to exceed our customers' expectations.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:

    An employee must possess the following skills in order to execute this job successfully:

    Engineered systems design and application knowledge and experience.

    Auto CAD's primary operations and capabilities are known and understood.

    Auto LISP knowledge and understanding is required for the construction and maintenance of customized Auto CAD programs and commands.

    Knowledge and experience with the ERP system for the generation of Item Masters, BOMs, and routings is required.

    AutoCAD 2-D knowledge and ability, as well as the conversion of 3-D models and drawings to 2-D models and drawings.

    Conversion of model and drawing file formats is something you should know about and be good at.

    Standard manufacturing and commercial abilities, including Microsoft Office, are required.

    In-depth knowledge of the sector and a thorough comprehension of consumer demands and requirements.

    Ability to communicate effectively with customers both verbally and in written business correspondence.

    Reading, interpreting, and creating mechanical and architectural drawings that effectively clarify a design's needs.

    Ability to learn rapidly and independently, as well as adapt to new situations.

    Ability to double-check one's own and others' work for accuracy and completeness.

    Ability to keep track of commitments.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    An individual must be able to adequately complete each fundamental duty in order to do this job successfully.

    The employee is needed to sit and converse or listen on a frequent basis. Hands are commonly used to finger, handle, or touch the employee. The employee is expected to stand and walk on occasion.

    The employee is frequently needed to lift and move objects weighing up to ten pounds. When acquiring parts to construct prototypes, the employee is periodically needed to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    Close vision is one of the visual criteria necessary for this job.

    The employee may be expected to travel for business or job-related reasons on occasion.

    In most cases, the noise level in the workplace is reasonable.

    When passing through the Machine Shop, safety glasses are necessary as part of the PPE required to do this task safely.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A bachelor's degree in mechanical drafting/design or comparable on-the-job training, as well as at least three years of practical mechanical design and drafting experience are required.
