Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Aviation Repair Shop Paralegal. In this role, you will utilize your legal expertise and organizational skills to support our operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing documentation, and assisting with quality management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, document review, and administration, coupled with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read, review, and interpret legal documents related to aviation regulations, contracts, warranties, and agreements.
Identify key provisions, obligations, and potential risks associated with various legal documents.
Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
Conduct audits of operational processes, documentation, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans.
Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and conferences for management and staff.
Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, reports, and correspondence.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant materials.
Shadow the Quality Manager to gain insight into aviation repair shop quality management processes.
Assist with quality control inspections, documentation reviews, and corrective action follow-up.
Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management initiatives to improve overall operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Proven experience working as a paralegal or in a similar legal/administrative role.
Familiarity with legal terminology, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret complex documents accurately.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
