Job Description

An Irvine based distributer of consumer products is seeking a full-time Junior Accountant to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Banking / Cash Flow

1. Responsible for all bank transactions to journals and ledgers

2. Initiating wires

Accounts Receivable / Payable/Inventories

1. Monitor and record up-to-date receivables / payables in ERP and inform anomalies to Traders/Directors

2. Responsible for West Coast invoicing

3. Customer Accounts Payable Reminder/Notices

4. Generating check payments for expenses

5. Foreign Exchange Rates Data Entry

Financial Accounting / Reporting

1. Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records

2. Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.

3. Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records

4. Generate monthly closing reports of Awano USA and prepare accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements for Finance and Accounting Manager

5. Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records

6. Assist with annual financial audits and tax filing

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.

· Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required.

· One year accounting experience preferred.
