Role Description:
We are looking for a skilled liquid chromatography (preferably LC-MS) technician with management potential for a remote/field-based service role. The ideal candidate will have exemplary customer skills, a detail-driven approach to tasks, and a strong drive to provide top-tier customer experience and satisfaction. Regular travel to customer sites and our Provo, Utah office is required. We hope you will consider joining our team! Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide front-line customer technical support.
• Install and maintain Axcend's product portfolio at customer sites.
• Develop technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Manage internal technical information and records.
• Develop and conduct training for customer and internal personnel.
• Support new product development and service readiness.
• Collaborate with other Axcend functions to support our overall organizational and product objectives.
• Share voice of customer with appropriate functions to drive organizational understanding of customer needs and values.
• Consult and present to customers, building relationships to forward commercial success.
• 20-40% travel required.
**Requirements & Skills: **
• 5+ years of experience using chromatography and mass spectrometry equipment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and LC-MS and knowledge related to the integration of LC and MS instrumentation (in-depth MS knowledge not required).
• Broad knowledge of LC-MS applications.
• Technical knowledge including how to drive, connect, repair, and optimize LC instruments.
• Willingness to travel regularly, up to 40% (including international).
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven track record of providing world-class service, troubleshooting technical problems, and developing and presenting technical materials.
• Customer-focused mindset with a drive to understand and address customer needs and concerns.
• Commercially minded and committed to provide outstanding service.
• Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Effective at managing internal and external relationships to ensure organizational success.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, industrial, oil/gas, and chemical industries preferred.
• Must have executive presence and excellent problem-solving skills.
