OVERVIEW:

Our client, headquartered in San Francisco, is the World’s leading cloud platform for live visual support that provides businesses the ability to see what their customers and technicians see via their smartphone and guide them remotely with AR guidance.

The company is now hiring a Controller to support strong business growth. You will be responsible for all accounting and finance activities globally, covering offices in 5 countries.

With the current Covid-19 crisis upon us, now more than ever, their solution is critical to many businesses which accelerates the adoption of live visual support. They are able to help customers who are concerned about employee safety, customer service and business continuity.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACCOUNTING MANAGEMENT:

• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee and manage the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure
• Oversee and manage the accounting operations of the global business, especially the accounting systems, internal control processes, transaction-processing operations, and timely financial closes consistent with US GAAP
• Ensure AR is collected promptly and AP is approved and paid in a timely manner.

REPORTING:

• Issue timely, accurate and complete financial statements every month
• Coordinate the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements and budget vs actual reports
• Develop a cash management and forecasting process to provide timely cash reporting to management and the Board
• Recommend financial and operational benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
• Develop processes and systems to collect and report the financial and operating metrics
• Manage the development of the annual budget and prepare on-going operational forecasts
• Provide for a system of management reports and Board reports to enable better decision making
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

COMPLIANCE

• Manage and plan the annual audit with the external auditors for the consolidated company
• Mange audit process and work with outside accountants for financial and tax audits of foreign subsidiaries
• Monitor debt levels and track and report on compliance with debt covenants
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in the US and foreign jurisdictions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
• 7 or more years of experience working in a similar role in a B2B environment
• Controlling experience in a recurring sales business model, ideally in an enterprise cloud software environment
• Software revenue recognition experience
• Experience working in a global organization, ideally managing people of multi-cultural backgrounds
• Experience working with QuickBooks Online, Concur and NetSuite
• Ability to work in collaborative environment as well as independently
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive and hands-on style with the ability to lead by example; “no job too big/no job too small” type of mentality
