    Conflicts & Intake Analyst or Senior Conflicts & Intake Analyst

    Under the general direction of the Billings & Collections Manager, both the Conflicts & Intake Analyst and the Senior Conflicts & Intake Analyst are responsible for identifying and resolving potential conflict issues for all hires, new matters, and the ongoing business of a mid-size law firm. In addition, the positions are engaged in the following:


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform complete Ethical and Business Conflicts process for client/matters and stock purchases. This includes, but not limited to, running conflicts, entering in systems, adding info to and running reports, correspondence to firm, reviewing billing guidelines and new matter compliance.
    • Review and enter billing rates for new client/matters (the Sr. Analyst will also manage annual updates)
    • Handle client/matter opening and closing process electronically
    • Work closely with attorneys and other staff to facilitate the prompt resolution of identified conflicts
    • Maintains accurate tracking records and completes all conflicts review projects undertaken within the Firm in a timely fashion
    • Manage conflicts database and update as necessary
    • Maintain file of signed engagement letters
    • Training and mentorship of new employees (Sr. Analyst only)
    • Projects, often of a complex nature, as assigned by the BCM or designee (Sr. Analyst only)
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

    • Degrees in business, accounting, or other related fields preferred, but not required
    • Experience in law firm conflicts and compliance related work required- 3 years required for the Sr. Analyst role, with 5-years preferred
    • Demonstrated use and knowledge of Conflicts and Intake software solutions, including selection and implementation of new systems
    • Understanding of the billing process, billing systems, finance systems accounting principles, budgeting and forecasting in a law firm setting preferred
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • General knowledge of office equipment and tools
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various document management tools
    • Ability to build rapport with attorneys and professional staff
    • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
    • The ability to work independently but within a team environment

    Position Details

    Both the Analyst and Sr. Analyst roles are full-time, benefits eligible and non-exempt level positions. The finalist’s title and final rate of pay will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, with a targeted hiring range of $31.00 – 42.00 per hour, with the upper range reserved for the Senior role. These positions are currently available in either our NY or CT office locations.
