LEGAL RECRUITING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/CLE ASSISTANT

The Legal Recruiting and Professional Development/CLE Assistant will provide support to the LR&PD team. This position will assist with the full cycle law student recruitment process, planning and delivery of attorney development training programs, ensuring compliance and obtaining accreditation for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements for all firm attorneys and Axinn sponsored programs.
LEGAL RECRUITING
• Assist with the full-cycle high-volume law student recruitment process
• Process registrations and arrange logistics for on-campus interview programs; manage all On Campus Interview (OCI) materials
• Coordinate interview schedules for candidates, prepare and process interview materials and collect interview evaluations; greet/escort candidates as needed
• Assist with coordination of summer program; plan and attend recruitment and summer program events as needed
• Maintain and update candidate information in Legal Recruitment Database
• Assist with department, candidate, and summer associate travel arrangements
• Oversee all departmental invoices and monthly credit card statements
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION
• Work with Coordinator to onboard all attorney new hires, set orientation schedules and assist with full integration program
• Oversee the CLE database, add new hires, provide monthly progress reports to all attorneys/admins
• Develop and maintain a process for obtaining CLE accreditation for our in-house training programs for various states (including NY) in which our attorneys are admitted
• General support to the Legal Recruiting & Professional Development Department and DEI Committee
• Assist with attorney training programs across the firm, including large-scale programs, skills-based workshops, practice-specific sessions, individual training classes, and one-on-one coaching sessions
• Support the CLE process and training programs within Micron’s CE Manager (our internal CLE tracking software), including setting up, monitoring and tracking programs and individual attorney credits within those systems. Regularly evaluate CLE procedures, processes, and workflows; recommend and execute changes as appropriate
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of CLE compliance rules and requirements in various jurisdictions
• Handle all aspects of the CLE process for internal and external programs, including coordination with Axinn attorneys on requirements and deadlines for CLE approval, making applications, distributing necessary CLE materials pre- and post-program and communicating directly with attendees and client contacts as needed. Liaise with the Marketing & BD team to ensure the success of these events. Assist with the coordination of client based CLE courses and work with BD team to get state bar accreditation.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• BA/BS degree and prior professional services or law firm experience highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• General knowledge of office equipment and tools
• Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various document management tools
• Ability to build rapport and lasting relationships with attorneys and professional staff
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently but within a team environment

POSITION DETAILS
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt (hourly) position with a standard 35-hour scheduled work week. Hours may be flexible, but generally will be 9am to 5pm. Final rate of pay will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience and work location, with a targeted hiring range of $26.00 to $36.00 per hour.
