Job Title: Axiom Developer
Contract Duration: 4+ Months
Pay range: $80 - 90/hr
Work Type: Hybrid (2-3 days in office weekly)
Location: New York City, NY

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support a BL that is transforming US-based operations – lots of exposure to US-based partners – and be part of a transformative initiative, working for a top 5 Canadian Bank.

Typical Day in Role:

• Using AXIOM Controller to design and develop Regulatory solutions as part of the critical US regulatory changes for the foreign bank reporting (TICs, FFIEC002, FFIEC 019, FR Y15) and dealer's net cap solution
• Write design documents, JIRA board management, and technical specifications / Perform code reviews
• Assist with development as needed in a Junior developer capacity
• Working within Agile development methodologies to consistently deliver quality code in a timely manner.
• Supporting testers and business users through code promotions and post-implementation through IST and UAT cycle

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ Years as a Technical BA or Developer
• 5+ years experience with AXIOM Controller
• Experience with Linux and UNIX platforms and Shell scripting
• Experience with ticket management and prioritization

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• PLSQL, Python/Java knowledge with help
• Familiarity with automation tools such as autosys is a plus
• Prior experience in a banking environment

Soft Skills:

• Analytic problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives, projects, and work streams simultaneously.
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills are a must

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Note:

• The ideal candidate would have experience in financial institutions as well as a strong history of Solutions Management experience
