SUMMARY: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about developing and maintaining schedules. Someone to whom is looking to develop their project scheduling skills. The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
This position will work on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas near the Johnson Space Center. The main responsibility of the Planner/Scheduler is executing the strategy, implementation, analysis, and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) through the entire lifecycle process. Including planning for design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, launching and operations of the world’s first commercial space station. The responsibility of this role is to monitor the execution of the key disciplines/sub-systems of the program towards milestones, key events, and significant accomplishment criteria. The support and management of the Integrated Master Schedule will cross-integrate Axiom Space’s projects and programs and will effectively communicate schedule status to Senior levels of the project team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the development and leading scheduling strategy, theory, implementation, and analysis.
• Assist prime liaison for leading cross collaboration with key schedule stakeholders for understanding and implementing schedule tactical strategy.
• Maintain, update, progress, and run schedule reports with other colleagues that are involved in the scheduling process.
• Work with discipline technical leads to develop schedules, key milestones, critical path, deliverables and assist in planning the project work-scope across multiple projects and teams.
• Use Oracle Primavera P6 to manage the IMS for the Axiom Space Station and other programs.
• Assistant in the development, maintenance, and control schedule standards and practices for managing the IMS in Oracle and other company software programs.
• Configure the scheduling data architecture in accordance with industry and company scheduling standards to support streamlined integration enabling efficient business operations.
• Support the internal integration of the subproject schedules and their connection to the Integrated Master Schedule; this includes the oversight of baseline changes and configuration control within the IMS.
• Perform complex program schedule analysis to including metrics, critical path, float, and schedule performance of the total program.
• Develop and review schedule variance analyses and recovery or corrective action plans and identify schedule impacts for program management attention; this includes the oversight of baseline changes and configuration control within the IMS.
• Assist in program schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities; evaluate and recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to the program team for discussion and/or decision.
• Identify critical paths, pacing items, heighten awareness of risks and mitigation paths to assist lead management teams for tracking and communication.
• Assist in preparing and presenting graphic presentations of cost, schedule, scope, and risk information at general and formal meetings such as Program Management Reviews and customer Quarterly Reviews.
• Utilize Agile methodology and Jira / Gantt schedule tools to proactively promote communication across multiple functions through daily coordination meetings to allow for integration of schedules at various levels.
• Utilize various software applications – such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages – to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and/or reports.
• Participate in and assist in leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, Supply Chain ‘OR’ relevant and ‘OR’ equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of scheduling or planning related experience or in combo of project controls.
• Experience and or understanding work packaging, use of activity coding or similar.
• Experience developing critical paths through a project life cycle in any one of the EPC phases or combination.
• 1-3 years minimum experience, utilizing Oracle Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of scheduling best practices.
• Experience working in project teams.
• Experience in aerospace, DoD, or related integrated schedules preferred.
• Working in Confluence and or JIRA software or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in Agile framework and or Scrum methodology preferred.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, software development and or concepts associated with preferred.
• Use of Microsoft Projects preferred.
