    The HR Solutions Division at Axios HR is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).  Reporting to the Lead Human Resources Business Partner in Detroit, the position provides direct client support as the lead contact for Axios HR. The HRBP works in partnership with our client leaders, managers, and employees, serving both as an expert practitioner and customer service professional.  This individual leads Human Resources service delivery for assigned clients focused in five key areas: 

    • Culture: Partnering with client leaders to implement Employer of Choice culture practices like manager coaching and development and employee engagement surveys that help to retain and develop talent.
    • Competitive: Improving talent attraction and retention through benchmarking and improving the competitiveness of the employment offer. Guiding compensation and benefits strategy, the annual benefits open enrollment process, workforce planning and recruiting processes.
    • Care: Supporting the needs of worksite employees and managers through excellent customer service. Ensuing managers are not drawn into unnecessary administrative tasks by monitoring HR administrative processes. Delegating administrative tasks to assigned HR operations teammates, the Payroll Administrator and HR Coordinator for each client and ensuring strong communication until any issues are resolved.
    • Compliance: Overseeing all employment related compliance activities, leading employee relations investigations, and support the worksite safety program.
    • Cost: Partnering with client leaders to understand the total cost of employment and talent investments are targeted to the right areas for each organization

    Successful HRBPs possess a deep understanding of the HR Solutions business model and diagnose client projects, issues, and needs.  Client locations will vary across the east side of the state, primarily in Detroit but clients are also in Lansing, Flint, Brighton, and Ann Arbor.

    DUTIES:

    1.  Plans, directs, and coordinates human resources activities and staff of the organization under a co-employment or ala carte service model. 

    2.  Coordinates amazing customer service with assigned HR Operations teammates (Payroll Administrator & HR Coordinator).

    3.  Provides quality Human Resource management services to assigned client companies through onsite and offsite HR support to employees, management and leaders.

    4.  Responds to daily requirements for reporting, analysis, compliance, performance management, investigations, recruitment, and selection. 

    5.  Applies specialized HR knowledge and skills to client problems and questions

    6.  Fully utilizes deep domain specialists within Axios HR (i.e. Absence Management, Benefits, HRIS, Reporting)to bring the breadth of Axios HR to the client situation.

    PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

    • Provide exceptional service that enables client retention for assigned clients to be at least 95%. Clients that depart due to mergers, acquisitions, or business closure are excluded from the client retention objective.
    • Manage a portfolio of clients that generate a minimum of $300,000 in administrative fees per year.
    • Increase gross profit per worksite employee average through matching clients needs to potential HR solutions.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or a related field.

    • A minimum of three years of HR experience in a Specialist or Generalist role, including proficiency in major HR areas (Performance Management, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits)

    • Familiarity with all areas of Human Resources and HR Generalist responsibilities. 

    • Proven skills in policy development and administration. 

    • Competence in using an HRIS.

    • Proven experience managing projects independently and dealing with multiple stakeholders/ bosses.

    • Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in MS-Office applications.

    • Effective problem-solving skills.

    • Positive customer service orientation and motivation.

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work in team and service environment.

    • Experience working effectively in a non-profit organization.
