    Staffing Inc, a division of Axios HR is seeking a Human Resource Consultant to work in their Grand Rapids field office.

    Job Title:              Human Resources Consultant

    Department:         Staffing, Inc.

    Reports To:          Regional Manager

     

    SUMMARY

    The Human Resource Consultant is the primary link between the Client and the Associate, the Client and the Team, and the Client and the Manager.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include but are not limited to the following:

     

    §  Prescreens applicants according to Staffing Inc.’s hiring criteria

     

    §  Answers phones and performs pre-screening process for all applicant inquiries

     

    §  Interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, work attitudes,

    §  and job skills to make a hiring decision

     

    §  Performs drug screens on all applicants

     

    §  Performs reference checks on all qualified applicants

     

    §  Performs background checks on all qualified applicants utilizing OTIS, ICHAT and NSOPR

     

    §  Administers and scores tests  (Cascade Engineering, Aptitude, Dexterity, etc.)

     

    §  Properly complete I9 paperwork

     

    §  Matches hired applicants to current job openings

     

    §  Provides hired applicants the proper job orientation information based on client requirements

     

    §  Records and maintains employee information such as personal data, comments, warnings, tax data, attendance, job placements, and terminations in Avionte

     

    §  Performs duties related to payroll in the field office

     

    §  Skill markets in qualified applicants to a client with or without an actual job openings

     

    §  Actively recruits qualified candidates

     

    §  Post job openings on job boards and recruiting websites

     

    §  Attends job fairs

     

    §  Takes orders and completes all data entry given by a client

     

    §  Communicates with all clients on a daily basis to assess their needs and keep them informed of order status

     

    §  Communicates all placement decisions with the client on a daily basis

     

    §  Completes weekly/monthly visits with the clients to discuss Quality Assurance measures

     

    §  Completes daily check-ins at clients where required

     

    §  Tours all facilities as new clients come on board

     

    §  Completes quarterly work site evaluations for each client facility

     

    §  Communicates openly with all team members

     

    §  Works as a part of a team on an on-going basis

     

    §  Fills in for other offices on an as needed basis

     

    §  Problem solves with client to implement appropriate solutions for all their needs

     

    §  Progresses through Skill Sets in the time allotted

     

    §  Examines employee files for information when needed by authorized personnel

     

    §  Reports all employee injury information to the proper department within 24 hours

     

    §  Trains new team members

     

    §  Learns from and contributes to the team

     

    §  Opens and closes the office

     

    §  Attends weekly, monthly, and quarterly company/team meetings

     

    §  Maintains and orders supplies as needed for the office

     

    §  Rotates 24 hour on-call responsibilities with team and responds to calls in a timely manner

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    High School Diploma

    Some college preferred  

    5+ years in a service oriented field preferred

     

    COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS

     

    Must be a highly effective verbal and written communicator

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

     

    Sitting 5-6 hours a day, walking, squatting, bending, and twisting.   

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT 

    75% of the time is spent in an office environment.  25% of the time is spent in manufacturing environments, which vary in appearance and cleanliness.  Very fast paced position and requires ability to balance multiple tasks.  May require over 40 hours per week depending on the client base and business cycles.  Some Saturdays are expected with special client events.
