EVENT COORDINATOR

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The Event Coordinator is responsible for talent attraction, onboarding, training, and retention of event staffing employees.  The employee, client and guest experience are critical components of success in this role.  Working with event venues is very fun and rewarding but requires a strong commitment to serving and passion for creating positive experiences.

Axios HR’s event staffing team plays an important role in the entertainment community in West Michigan.  We have been servicing the local industry for over 25 years.  We are seeking a passionate teammate who aligns will our core values, excels at event coordination and is focused on servicing others.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Provides staffing for local events
• Recruiting and hiring of all event employees
• On-site management during all events
• Work closely with clients and employees to create a positive experience

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Recruiting, screening, onboarding, and training event staff
• Create a positive employee experience resulting in retention, client satisfaction and positive guest experience
• Workforce planning and scheduling
• Employee relations and liability and risk management
• Administration of payroll, time and attendance, and reporting

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Interest/experience in staffing, guest services, entertainment/hospitality related work
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and problem solve
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High sense of urgency and strong commitment to serving
