    Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.

    To help us drive excellence, as an Advanced Quality Technician you’ll get to:

    · Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.

    · Work with all departments and information sources to gather necessary information. Review all new documents and revisions for accuracy and completeness. Flag and locate missing information.

    · Proactively interact with all associates and staff in order to ensure all quality related control documentation, procedures, and forms are available and provided as required to support daily business operations.

    · Gather continuous improvement ideas from associates and staff. Assist in the process of evaluating and executing continuous improvement (i.e. PDCA Cycle)

    · Participate in final die buyoff, prototype, and low volume production part runoffs to ensure compliance to written procedures. Evaluate parts on Checking Fixtures to ensure compliance to customer required geometric dimensions and tolerances.

    · Assist with the scheduling of meetings, preparing meeting materials, and presenting when appropriate. Document meeting minutes, as requested, and follow up on quality related action items that result.

    · Manage the Engineering Hold Area. Physical containment of tryout, buyoff, and early parts for GP-12 100% sorting.

    · Assist Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure outgoing shipments have the correct labels/tagging per customer specific requirements. Ensure all required documentation and records are completed prior to product shipping.

    · Attend additional training as industry standards evolve, continuously improve knowledge and understanding of Automotive Industry and Quality Management Systems.

    This full-time role is a part of our Quality Department and reports to the Quality Supervisor


    Required Skills & Abilities: ****

    • Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Advanced proficiency in the general use of computers, swift navigation and manipulation of computer programs.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to learn and efficiently navigate corporate ERP computer systems. (i.e. MQ1, QAD, SAP, Oracle)
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply the language in the IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 quality standards.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)

    Preferred Additional Skills & Abilities:

    Ability to work with the following software packages or programs:

    · Microsoft Office at an intermediate level

    · Effective email and electronic communication skills are required

    Ability to work with the following data base programs and/or hardware:

    · MQ1 database at a basic level

    · QAD database at a basic level

    Ability to work with the following tools or machinery:

    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Scales
    • Checking Fixtures

    ****Education and/or Experience:

    · Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
