Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.
To help us drive excellence, as a General Laborer you’ll get to:
· Performs manual bench-type tasks such as sawing, filing, grinding, Milling, Drilling, painting, etc.
· Inspects parts, components, visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, etc.
· Inspects and ensures parts, components, and assemblies meet specifications.
· Labels and/or tag parts and baskets.
· Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup work to maintain machines according to schedules, which may require repairing, replacing, and lubricating parts.
· Cleans around work areas to keep orderly and safe by sweeping the floor, scrubbing floor, removing scrap and refuse, and storing tools and parts.
· Performs all duties and operates machinery and equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.).

This full-time role is a part of our Operations Department and reports to the Plant Manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
· Must be able to safely operate forklift
· Must be able to safely operate overhead canes ****
Education and/or Experience:
· High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. ****
