    To help us drive excellence, as a Laser Technician in our Technical Trades Program you’ll get to:

    __

    • Learn to set up, operate, and troubleshoot flat laser machines.
    • Learn to set up, operate and troubleshoot 5-Axis laser.
    • Learn to perform 2D and 3D Programming.
    • Egg Crate 5-Axis laser tool design.
    • Hand applies check aided design.
    • Receive experience in running laser programming simulation studies.
    • Understand and use measurement tools and equipment for inspections, such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
    • Learn to read blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
    • Learn to perform minor preventative maintenance and daily cleanup of machines and work areas, including changing, monitoring inventory, and ordering bottled gases.
    • Learn how to compare recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notifying specified persons of discrepancies.
    • Learn to make laser path corrections to deviations collected.
    • Gain experience in making decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.

    This full-time role is a part of our Prototype Team and reports to the Prototype Supervisor.


    Required Skills & Abilities:

    • Successfully complete Hilo and Crane training program within 30 days
    • Must be able to attend a two (2) year technical trades program through Axis Engineering, LLC.
    • Must pass aptitude test(s)
    • Drug screening are required to enter the training program.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment/machinery.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • High level of cooperation.
    • High level of commitment.
    • Natural problem solver.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High school Diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • One to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
