    To help us drive excellence, as Engineering Manager you are:

    • Accountable for leading all Engineering activities including process improvement and corrective actions.
    • Create and update Design Standards, lessons learned and create new standards/check sheets as required.
    • Responsible for an active leadership role in meeting/exceeding customer expectations in all related areas.
    • Provide input into quoting/business development activities (ex. program management, etc.).
    • Develop and drive the development of departmental strategic goals and identify and track key measurable to support the department goals.
    • Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when necessary.
    • Deliver direction and leadership consistent with Company and Department business plan goals.
    • Direct and drive the utilization of problem-solving methods for related corporate and customer issues.
    • Provide active leadership role in meeting/exceeding customer expectations in all related areas.
    • Interface with customers and suppliers when appropriate.
    • Present leadership essential that maintain safety as a fundamental priority in department-based activities.
    • Interfaces and introduces projects to other management staff.
    • Interview, hire and train Associates. Plan and assign work, appraise performance, reward and team with HR to address and resolve Associate concerns.
    • Provide leadership, and direct and manage Engineering operations to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
    • Provide guidance and counsel to leadership and functional management teams on a variety of issues, including engineering standards, problem solving, colleague development, team building, etc.
    • The role is a part of our Engineering Team and reports to the Axis Plant Manager.

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Design Engineering or Engineering cross discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in an automotive/metals/assembly environment.
    • Two (2) years of management experience.
    • Possess knowledge of plant department functions.
    • Strong understanding of BIW fixture design.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • High level of Design Software knowledge.
    • High level of AutoCAD Design software.
