Compassionate and skilled Home Healthcare Caregiver to provide non-nursing care to our clients in Columbia, Charleston, Rockhill, or Greenville, South Carolina. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide care that is focused on promoting independence, safety, and quality of life for our clients.
CNA Responsibilities:
Provide great patient care.
Answer patient calls and determine how best to help them.
Provide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, – using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
Ensure patients receive an appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
Obtain a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
Measure and record food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
Note observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
CNA Requirements:
2+ years’ work experience
Basic Health and Tuberculosis Screening
Participate in Quality Improvement Program
Requirement for job duties able to lift up to 50lbs
State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
Current CPR (American Heart Association).
Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License and Insurance (NOT REQUIRED)
Meeting recurring training requirements
