Summary

Ayers Career College is seeking a motivated, self-starter for the position of Administrative Assistant to support campus management. This entry level position offers great opportunities for growth within the organization.

Essential Functions

Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.

Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and cross-department activities.

Performs desktop publishing. Creates and develops visual presentations for management.

Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for management. Retrieves information from files when needed. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates library of company forms and manuals.

Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.

Sorts and distributes mail. Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.

Greets all guests and prospective students.

Answers phones and fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.

Job Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.

Proficiency and interest in utilizing new and changing technology.

Thoroughness.

Good oral and written skills.

Ability to work with clients, vendors, partners and other external parties.

Ability to take initiative and anticipate needed actions.

Good organization skills.

Professional Appearance

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
