Position Summary:
Azure Cloud Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. This role partners with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to architect enterprise-level cloud environments and guide cloud strategy and governance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and architect Azure cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
- Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-prem to Azure
- Develop architecture standards, governance, and best practices
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
- Ensure security, compliance, and identity management using Azure AD and related services
- Optimize cost management and performance within Azure environments
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI CD pipelines and automation
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
- 5 plus years of experience in cloud architecture or senior cloud engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Experience with networking, virtual networks, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls
- Experience with Azure AD, RBAC, and identity management
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or Python
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI CD pipelines
- Experience with security best practices in cloud environments
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with containerization, such as AKS and Docker
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
