  • Responsibilities

    The Custom Sales Consultant delivers custom solutions to lighting design professionals and other external stakeholders, while providing technical support to internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Lighting Department, and Manufacturing. This position is technical in character, customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties and who executes, under only general supervision, special assignments, and tasks. This is a corporate office-based role. This role requires occasional travel to attend select trade shows, sales events, and trainings. Responsibilities: • Assist in development of custom/modified products to fit customer needs. • Develop and issue project quotations; work with outside sales team to book Provide Quality Assurance for custom/modified products in production process. • Attend new product development meetings and participate in NPD process, as necessary. • Review technical sales materials for accuracy and consistency. • Provide support to field service issues when required. • Attend trade shows as needed. • Performs key tasks and responsibilities under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment. • Perform other duties assigned by manager. Qualifications: • Lighting industry experience preferred. • High School Diploma or GED required. • Able to read, write and communicate in English. • Understand product assemblies to the highest level of detail. • Solid understanding of manufacturing methods and capabilities. • The ability to retain industry knowledge, including key competitor data, lighting controls, power supplies and installation practices. • Effectively communicate solutions, both verbally and written to internal and external customers. • Ability to learn and adapt quickly. • Detail-oriented with a strong desire to finish what is started. • Coordinate with other internal teams, departments, and individuals to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. • Excellent time management skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, etc. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation: $25 hourly
