Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking an Event Production Accountant to provide financial support and analysis of B-Weiss Entertainment Group's business. This includes working closely with our event production team and project managers to establish event budgets, track performance in real-time and close out event income statements to assess profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees accounting activities of all financial accounting and reporting for B-Weiss Entertainment Group, but not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project accounting: developing and maintaining budgets, cash flow, cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis and development of final estimated cost
- Manage the daily financial activities of all projects along with the production and operations teams
- Submit monthly updated event financial and operational forecasts, including variance analysis
- Process accounts payable: review, post and pay all vendor invoices while ensuring proper project tracking and expense coding for all invoices
- Prepare estimates and accounts receivable invoices for projects
- Oversee collections, cash posting and preparation of bank deposits
- Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare and enter journal entries as needed (reclasses/accruals/cost allocation)
- Process monthly sales & use tax returns
- Assist with payroll processing
- Periodic travel is required
