Job Description

AS A SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER - ROUTING & SWITCHING, YOU WILL:

• Design & Engineering of Lab IP Networks in a Virtualized and Physical Infrastructure.
• Responsible for deploying new IP Routing technologies/capabilities to enhance and protect data centers.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot routing and switching platforms for bearer networks.
• Responsible to troubleshoot the OAM, Cell Site Backhaul, and Cloud Underlay networks.
• Develop detailed plans for configuring, testing and upgrading network elements as well as carry out associated hands-on tasks.
• Document and maintain the IP networks for all Client's Labs across the country.
• Integrate the above networks into various monitoring platforms.
• Review security requirements and document the deployed solutions meeting compliance.
• Work closely with various project managers in defining, tracking and reporting tasks and milestones.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED…

• B.Sc. in computer science, electrical engineering or similar fields (advanced degree is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale routing and switching
• Deep understanding of existing data center switching and routing architecture for service provider networks both at high and low level
• Excellent understanding and working experience of dynamic routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)
• Experience in implementing IPv6 networks in data center environments including associated routing architecture in data centers
• Good understanding and experience with MPLS at the telecom scale
• Experience working on security solutions in conjunction with router/switch configurations
• CCNP or equivalent certification is required
• Relevant vendor-specific or vendor-neutral security and firewall certifications is a plus
• Experience in automating daily routine tasks using Python & Ansible
• Integrating IP/Security platforms with Network monitoring software is a plus. For example, Netbox, Zabbix, Nagios etc.
• Experience in a telecom operator lab environment is a plus
