    OUR NEED:

    We are looking for a full-time Event Coordinator to help manage and grow our incoming party requests, park events, and help us expand our event offerings at our Bark Social Bethesda location. This role would deal with the on-site events management of our Bethesda location, but offers the opportunity to develop within the events arm of our fast-growing company. The event coordinator should expect to work 35-40 hours per week.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    ●      Field incoming event inquiries- by phone, email, and web lead sources

    ●      Set up Banquet Event Orders for parties and events

    ●      Assist/guide guests through the entire event planning process

    ●      Coordinate with any relevant vendors for event needs

    ●      Coordinate and execute weekly/monthly park events (Movie Night, Trivia Night, etc.)

    ●      Work with location managers to ensure Bark Social team is clear on their deliverables- food & beverage purchasing and desired staffing levels

    ●      Follow up with guests after events

    ●      Work on-site in a guest-facing role as our check-in greeter (CIARA) when responsibilities are less than 40 hours per week

    ●      Report directly to the Events Manager and location General Manager

     

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO: 

    ●      1-2 years event sales/management experience

    ●      Bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Event Management, Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, or something similar preferred

    ●      Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends up to 50 hours/week

    ●      Is a clear communicator and able to easily convey information both in written form and verbally

    ●      Is proactive and has the ability to independently identify/prioritize tasks that need to be accomplished

    ●      Is organized and has a keen eye for detail

    ●      Is hospitality focused and excited to bring client/Bark Social event visions to life

    ●      Is eager to learn new skills and has the ability to pick things up and execute new things quickly, including but not limited to: new software, new and changes in processes

    ●      Is able to handle multiple requests with grace and poise

    ●      Has experience executing excellent customer service

    ●      Has experience setting up and executing events

    ●      Is a creative and solutions-oriented problem solver

    ●      Ability to be a team player and be flexible within their role

    ●      Tripleseat Event Management experience preferred but not required

    SALARY RANGE:  

    Salary Range: $15-$17/hour based on experience, with a 2% earned commission of total event bill per event executed
