Field Service Technician – Building Systems / Controls

St. Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $65,000 – $110,000+ (OT Eligible)

Regional Travel (MN & Western WI)

Position Overview

Seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support building automation, HVAC, and controls systems. This role focuses on troubleshooting real-world system issues, performing maintenance, and supporting customers onsite across a variety of commercial and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to HVAC, controls, and building automation
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on controllers, servers, and field devices
• Communicate system issues and recommend upgrades, repairs, or improvements
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings
• Document service activities and provide clear updates to customers
• Deliver onsite training to customers on system operation and upgrades
• Manage time effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and timely service

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC, building automation, or related technical field
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Experience with building automation systems and system troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and integrated systems
• Experience reading blueprints and system drawings
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights
