    The Operations Manager in Training will be responsible for developing the knowledge and skills to direct the day to day operations of the organization. Responsibilities include the hiring, developing and managing teams of people to execute the company’s operational goals while maintaining our culture.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Manages multiple departments; provides backup as needed.

    Acts as an escalation tier for merchants, 3rd party vendors.

    Provides continuous training, coaching, and support to direct reports.

    Leads by example, mentors other managers and associates.

    Improves, and creates proper procedures to execute the goals of the company.

    Ensures merchant and partner satisfaction by coaching employees to meet or beat established departmental SLAs.

    Provides and monitors corrective action as necessary.

    Makes recommendations for hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, training and development.

    Conduct and document regular meetings with employees within the assigned departments.

    Complete and deliver performance appraisals.

    Communicate interdepartmentally to achieve the best possible outcome for the merchants, company, and associates.

    Develop strategic plans to achieve increased revenue and profit for the organization.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provides escalated technical support to customers among a variety of product categories, resolving issues according to prescribed standards and procedures as needed with new accounts.

    Works collaboratively with the Leadership Team.

    Works with team members in non-merchant areas of the bank to build relationships and help the overall contribution to the bottom line.

    Completes other assigned duties as requested.

    Assist all operations staff with analytical functions.

    Work within departments to oversee progress to processes to ensure efficiency.

    Work with other Operations Managers as needed.

    Assist Sales Agents and Sales Managers as necessary.

    Education and Experience:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, marketing or other related fields. In lieu of degree, may have relevant work experience.

    Experience: Two to five years of experience managing teams including hiring and termination responsibility. Experience in developing large project plans and implementing cross departmentally. Strong demonstrated problem-solving experience.

    Computer Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

    Experience with CRM programs

    Experience with ERP Systems

    Advanced knowledge of bankcard industry and programs

    Advanced knowledge of point-of-sale hardware and software platforms
