    Job Description

Company Description BBH was founded in London in 1982 based on the belief in the power of difference, to make a difference. Our first ad for Levi's, our founding client, depicted a sea of white sheep all traveling in the same direction, with one solitary black sheep going against the herd in the opposite direction. This image was accompanied by a simple statement that read 'When the world zigs, zag'. Today, the Black Sheep has become our logo, symbolizing our belief that difference - or what we call ‘zagging’ - is how we create space for brands and businesses to grow.

    OUR TALENT PHILOSOPHY:

In hiring BBH looks for two characteristics: being good, and being nice. Being only one of these is not in our DNA.

Job Description We are currently seeking a full-time ACCOUNT MANAGER to join our team.

BBH was founded in 1982 by three equal partners. Sir John Hegarty (creative), John Bartle (strategy) and Sir Nigel Bogle (account management). To this day our agency is structured in this same way, giving trust, ownership and accountability to these three core disciplines.

At BBH, members of the account management department are expected to be business partners - both externally with our clients, and internally with each member of a cross-functional team. The account people should use their deep knowledge and understanding of the clients business in order to create the best conditions for the right work to thrive, leading to the success and growth of both our partners and our agency.

The ideal account person is a leader, someone with the tenacity, resourcefulness, business sense, pro-active curiosity, emotional intelligence and cool-headedness to behave like the CEO of their account, brand or project. The account person is the only person in the agency who touches every aspect of a project in some way: from the relationship with the client, to the relationship with the team, from strategy to finance to creative to production with poise, clarity and positivity. It is ultimately the role of an account person at any level to ensure that a project meets the client and agency’s ambitions to generate great, effective creative work, on time and on budget, and to motivate the team along the way.

At BBH LA, the size of the office and the way we work requires that account people at every level have an entrepreneurial spirit and therefore should not be afraid to get their hands dirty on day-to-day tasks or step up beyond their job title when required by fast moving processes and lean team structure. When it comes to the clients, the account person is the agency’s knowledge bank: what are their creative tastes? What is the product range? How does their new product development happen? Ultimately, the account manager is an adept problem solver, clear communicator and is solutions-oriented in nature.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

The account manager delights in the details, in order to support the team and keep projects on track. They are a consummate team player, always willing to go the extra mile in the push from ‘good’ to ‘great’. They have a can-do spirit and the energy to support teams going through tough processes but aren’t afraid to ask for help when they aren’t clear. They have a ‘no task too big, no task too small’ mentality and will be expected to manage their own projects while supporting the team.
