JOB PURPOSE
BBP is seeking a hardworking and motivated marketing and communications intern to join our fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The purpose of this role is to support the Marketing Coordinator in the marketing and promotion of products and services to customers and prospects. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for a regional, well-known company. This internship requires three days per week at our office in Baton Rouge.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your day-to-day tasks are likely to involve:
- Reports to the Marketing Manager
- Assist with the design and creation of signage, email campaigns, and social media content
- Usage of Social Media Tools (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc)
- Assist the Marketing Coordinator in SEM and SEO efforts
- Seek and analyze competitor marketing material and digital content
- Assist in planning and staffing of trade shows and marketing events
- Provide administrative support to management when required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with superior written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite are necessary
- Experience with marketing computer software and online applications, including (but not limited to): Adobe Creative Suite, SEMRush, SharpSpring, WordPress, Elementor, Google Analytics, and Google Ads
- Dependability, flexibility, and ability to prioritize
- Openness to learning and growing within the internship experience
- Knowledge of WordPress and HTML is a plus
- Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment
EDUCATION
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, or related fields from a four-year accredited college or university.
