Duties to be performed: Event Contract Worker supports the Promotion Specialist 3 (catering and tent crew) positions by providing event staffing for NW Natural corporate events, community events, event sponsorships, and internal events and meetings. Tent/Equipment Event Workers assist the Promotion Specialist 3 (tent crew Coordinator) in the transportation, maintenance, assembly and disassembly of event canopies and related event equipment. Tent/Equipment Worker also supports catering services from time-to-time. Skills needed: - Good customer service skills - Positive, can-do attitude - Ability to communicate with and work well with a variety of people - Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner - Able to meet deadlines and keep events on schedule - Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools - Adherence to NW Natural safety rules and regulations - Neat in appearance - Ability to work flexible hours - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs - High school education Experience Needed: For Catering and Tent/Equipment workers that drive NW Natural vehicles, the following items are also needed: - Previous experience driving a box van or pulling a trailer preferred - Clean driving record - Proof of valid auto insurance - Willingness to take company approved defensive driving course - Ability to learn and conduct company vehicle inspection process prior to driving
