    DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Below is a summary of the duties to be performed by the Director, Incident and Continuity Management:

    This position serves as governance, oversight, reporting, and especially advice/consultation for the role of product, infrastructure, and business operations incident and continuity management governance (Line 2) across the firm, with special emphasis on establishing the thought leadership and framework for a more resilient and recoverable architectures, products, services, and processes for the globally deployed portfolio of The client product lines, support infrastructures, and site business operations. This includes a key accountability to build a balanced and cost-effective incident response and continuity framework into each business, operating department, and physical site across the globally distributed enterprise. An additional key accountability is to establish and insure a seamless interface between incident management and the declaration of crisis events engaging the Corporate Crisis Management Team and disaster declarations engaging recovery teams and capabilities as required.

    This position will also provide coordination and oversight to major business initiatives and new bulge-bracket customer mandates in the areas of incident and continuity management.

    The ideal candidate must be highly analytical and possess sufficient technical, resiliency by design, cyber response/recovery, architecture, incident/crisis management, and business continuity management skills and experience to fully understand and mitigate the rapidly evolving global threat landscape impacting customers and other key company stakeholders. This person will also promote an understanding of the impacts emanating from disruptions anywhere within the operations of the client, its customers, or its third-parties, and the complex inter-dependencies that permit such disruptions to cascade up and down the company’s value chain.

    The candidate must also be highly consultative in both methods and behavior with highly refined experience and background to help address an expanding array of customer requirements, strategy and design alternatives, and testing scenarios for incident and continuity management capabilities in an educational and proactive guidance business-supporting approach.

     

    BUSINESS COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related IT or Risk field preferred.
    • Professional consultation experience and skills also preferred.
    • Must have a comprehensive understanding of the evolving cyber threat landscape and how it now drives the disciplines of integrity, availability, and recoverability, including specific cyber response experience.
    • Must have a strong background in both business incident and continuity management program governance processes.
    • Must have a background in both Problem and Incident management and be intimately acquainted with the full incident management timeline and its related activities and milestones.
    • Must have familiarity and background in the various operational risk management asset types including technology, data, people, product, business function, process, and facility operations.
    • Must have experience in presenting and coordinating with managers at all levels of the organization.
