Job Summary Looking for a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) that is willing to provide direct 1:1 therapy for client within a school setting. Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm. Program modification, treatment planning, parent training, and collaboration with other professionals will be required for just this one client. The BCaBA will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure compliance with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA). ***ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED ON OAHU *** This position will require direct care 1:1 with client within school setting.
Duties
Direct care 1:1 implementation of programs with client in classroom setting.
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
Document medical information accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on behavioral health strategies.
Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
Provide direct care to children, utilizing effective communication techniques to engage and motivate them.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
Must have active BCaBA certification and be in good standing with the BACB
Experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations
Ability to actively engage with clients, sit on the floor, go from sitting to standing unassisted and lift up to 50lbs
Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and their families.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their behavioral goals.
