JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a member of the Data Remediation Team within Clients Information Security Department, this role involves the following responsibilities:

• Configure, refine and validate RegEx patterns in Microsoft E5 to detect sensitive data elements within files stored on the First American network
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with RegEx functionality, and develop enhancements to improve the accuracy of sensitive data controls
• Work collaboratively with the information security team to understand evolving requirements for detecting sensitive data
• Ensure that RegEx controls align to appropriate sensitive information types as defined by First American data security standards
• Maintain technical documentation for product configurations, deployed policies and controls, and corresponding RegEx patterns
• Perform unit testing of RegEx controls to validate expected functionality
• Work with relevant IT personnel to package, promote and deploy configured controls to UAT and Production in accordance with Client change management processes

SKILLS:

• Deep expertise in the design, creation and refinement of complex RegEx patterns for detecting sensitive data elements
• Hands-on experience configuring RegEx controls within an unstructured data solution such as Microsoft MCAS/AIP, Varonis, StealthBits or SailPoint File Access Manager is desirable
• Proficient in the creation of scripted processes using Microsoft PowerShell
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of key technical concepts related to unstructured data protection

EDUCATION:

• Experience working within a software engineering or technical support role
