Insurance Agency located in Sacramento, California is seeking an outgoing, career-oriented professional to join their team as an Insurance Agency Assistant Account Manager. The Assistant Account Manager role is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of administrative support experience looking to learn and gain valuable experience in the insurance industry. This position will provide exposure to commercial property & casualty, personal, and life & health insurance and offers an excellent training opportunity for those interested in a long-term career in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work closely with Account Managers in the processing of client documents
Answer inbound phone calls; evaluate the need and either address the concern or transfer to the appropriate party
Assist Account Managers with:
marketing and placement of accounts, and with the preparation of proposals
checking policies and completion of electronic file documentation in agency management system
issuing basic Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Insurance
ordering loss history, experience modification worksheets
Qualifications and Skills
GED/High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Previous administrative experience preferred.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email and calendar.
Fluency with Applied Epic Managment System preferred.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required.
Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
Must have above-average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrated ability to respond to phone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry required.
