    Job Title: Test Driver JD (CDL)

    Job Description: We are looking for people who are passionate about driverless transportation technology, in a way of safer and more cost-efficient operation. We seek people in an operations role of testing autonomous vehicle prototypes in manual driving. Candidates who have profound driving experience and skills to troubleshoot problems with the engineering team are highly desired. Candidates who have experience working in the AV industry or similar tech companies are preferred.

    Job Requirements and Skills: ● Maintain a current Class A Driver’s License (CDL) for at least 5 years. ● A clean driving record, capable of clearing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check. ● Manually drive a sensor-equipped truck, and collect data for the system as a whole. ● Participate in pre- and post-shift briefings as needed. ● Provide clear feedback to the engineering team and be reachable for test reviews. ● Accept for environmental-challenged tests in a safe manner. ● Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and checklists to proactively ensure platform readiness. ● Function within and contribute to a culture of safety, safeguarding the reputation of our company and industry. ● Demonstrate responsibility on repairing basic vehicle mechanic and harness issues, and collaborating with engineers for software troubleshooting. ● Focus on tasks during work hours and be respectful of time. ● Perform other related and operations-critical duties as assigned by management. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional qualifications could include but are not limited to ● Experience operating any class or type of L2-4 autonomous vehicle. ● Experience with Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and applying the information provided. ● Experience with OEM track tests, defensive driving training programs, or holding other commercial driver certifications.
