Virtual Instructor and/or In-Person Instructor

OBJECTIVE: To serve as a part-time program staff member for children in grades PreK-12. Math and Reading. AFTER SCHOOL FROM 4:00PM-6:30PM.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a positive and engaging atmosphere
• Provide individual and/or small group instruction
• Assess and monitor student performance
• Implement curriculum with fidelity
• Maintain accurate record keeping
• Assist with classroom management
• Adhere to internal and external policies
• Display professional behavior and dress
• Attend program trainings and staff meetings
• Contribute to organizational success

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree or enrolled graduate/undergraduate student
• Experience with school-age children may substitute for college degree/hours
• Computer literacy and access with high-speed internet
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Teacher certification (plus)
• Bilingual (plus)

REPORTS TO: Campus Manager

Volunteer Hours 

DIRECT REPORTS: Volunteers

DAYS: 2-5 per week

HOURS: 8-32 per week

PAY RATE: $12-$15 per hour

Must complete 20 – 22 hours of volunteer training. Includes becoming Gideon Certified by online and/or onsite training at Beacon Hill HQ & offsite campus locations.
