Responsibilities: Induction bending machine operators are to accomplish assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Reports primarily to the Plant Manager, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
- Operator will be trained by BendTec, LLC employees to:
- Operate the Induction Bending Machine
- Operate an optical pyrometer
- Accurately layout and measure induction bends
- Review and apply common shop drawings for induction bending
- Perform good quality welds on common materials for temporary holding and pushing purposes on the bending machine
- Accurately record all required documentation
- Perform or assist in maintaining routine lubrication and maintenance of the bending machine
- Rig, load, unload, stabilize and transport material
- Interact with Production Supervisor and Manager as to status and condition of assigned projects
- Report all equipment damages and repair needs
- Material Handling
- Shop Cleaning
- Follow all BendTec company policies
- Follow and apply all BendTec safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Adhere to BendTec work schedule
- Conduct work assigned in a safe and efficient manner
- Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements
- Communicate concerns to BendTec management
- Inspect quality of product as processed through assigned operation
- Report product Non-Conformances to management immediately
- Operate only equipment qualified and trained for
- Utilize equipment and tools in a manner to prevent damage and injuries
- Record all required documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Work in a team to conduct various job assignments
- Other General Duties as Assigned
- Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to climb step ladders and stairs several times a day
- Bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, stepping, squatting and kneeling are frequently necessary to complete any job tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift
