    HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE 

    Berryessa Gap Vineyards is searching for Hospitality and Customer Experience Sales Associates to work part time in our Tasting Rooms.  We are located in Winters, CA and have a Tasting Room in Historic Downtown Winters as well as one at our winery location, destination #1 on the newly designated Scenic Hwy 128 wine route (www.visit128.com).  We are a small family run winery that produces varieties ideal for our Mediterranean climate including Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Malbec as well red blends and white wines such as Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Verdejo and Albariño.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and food, delighting customers, caring for Club members, building new customer relationships and driving sales.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Create a warm and delightful experience when engaging with guests face-to-face, over the phone, and/or through email. 

    • Lead guests through educational wine tastings creating an approachable, memorable experience. 

    • Effectively suggest, sell, and up-sell wine. 

    • Represent the winery at outside functions when necessary. 

    • Effectively execute daily Tasting Room operation to include but not limited to:

     

    •  Set-up and break down of indoor and outdoor space, 

    •  Open and inspect the quality of wines and glassware prior to serving, 

    •  Open/Close POS system/registers and manage cash drawer, 

    •  Stock wine on the Tasting Room floor, 

    •  Perform sales transactions and shipping orders, 

    •  Maintain clean and organized guest spaces performing COVID-compliant cleanliness tasks. 

     

    QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Must be able to work at least one Saturday or Sunday and one evening (Wednesday or Thursday) every week. Must be able to work at least 16 hours per week.   

    • Must be 21 years of age. 

    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. 

    • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. 

    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
