    Job Description

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

    The Sales Manager is responsible for sales of customer service and support relating to both (i) Conveying and Loading Systems and (ii) Conveying and Loading Products sub-segments of the BEUMER Group’s Conveying and Loading segment in North America. Industries served include, without limitation: Cement and building materials; chemicals and petrochemicals; power generation; mining; terminal and port operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the management, coordination, and direction of the Customer Support function within the North American Conveying and Loading business segment. Including, but not limited to, budget creation and management, business development activities (existing and new customers), sales sales/support, proposal generation and delivery, order/project management, and service planning for the following business portfolio:
      • modernization and upgrades of installed products and systems
      • residential and other technical field service
      • customer care
    • Accountable for the achievement of financial targets and other KPI's, which include but are not limited to order intake, revenue, gross profit, responsiveness / service levels, timeliness of issues resolution, and overall customer satisfaction.
    • Responsible for emergency support issues, routine and preventive maintenance planning, follow-up for customer training and system enhancements (i.e. expansions, upgrades, or recapitalization) 
    • Create and implement business development plans for each Customer Support business category.
    • Communicate with other departments (engineering, field operations, others) prioritizing issues and escalating as necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
    • Review, evaluate, and revise existing implementation procedures to ensure best practices are implemented.
    • Formulate continuing technical and product support training to maximize quality and results.
    • Understand the BEUMER organization and its critical interface points relative to the level of service.
    • Prepare reports and provide status as required
    • Take the lead and active role in representing the Customer Support organization, Conveying and Loading Segment, North America, to the Customer Support organization within the BEUMER Group organization.
    • Ensure timely handover of project deliverables to the customer and company
    • Travel to site as needed (required travel is 50%)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of hands-on mechanical experience; preferably bulk material handling equipment in the mining or cement industry
    • Relevant technical degree is preferred; but not required
    • Proven ability to lead and manage technical resources
    • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with competing priorities
    • Willingness to be hands-on and drive business development is imperative
    • Verifiable track record of success in building a support and service business within the bulk material handling industry
    • Professional, positive and energetic demeanor
    • Excellent communication and team building abilities
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • MS Office Proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    COMMITMENT REQUIRED
