    Job Description

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

    The key objective of the Sales Executive, Mining and Minerals, is to ensure that BEUMER captures a profitable share of long-term growth opportunities in the Segment in North America, adequately supported by intentional development of near-term leading indicators. Responsible for independently driving business development and sales in the Segment; including the sales management processes, order closure and driving optimal customer value.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Be the face of BEUMER Group in the Mining and Minerals sector in North America, while consistently demonstrating and leveraging for Customer and company benefit superior competencies in: relationship- and value-based selling; person-to-person marketing in complex, capital-intensive industrial markets; and business development geared to both long-term success and additive near-term successes that drive sustainable viability in the Segment.
    • Create and implement business development and sales strategies for the Segment – including qualitative and quantitative, outcome-driven objectives for target and key accounts – that drive BEUMER's relevance to and in the Segment and that support the achievement of company revenue and profitability targets.
    • Leverage her/his understanding of Customer channels, market trends, and competitor strategies to identify new solutions offerings and value propositions for BEUMER to bring to market.
    • Acting as proxy Voice of Customer within the BEUMER organization, drive change in the organization needed to surpass Customer expectations and to deliver to Customers in the Segment compelling and differentiating value along each dimension of their experience with BEUMER.
    • Act as lead consultant to the BEUMER bid team on solutions development for business opportunities in the Segment and steer creative processes toward a winning solution within the framework of a well-defined win strategy.
    • Lead the preparation of distinguishing and compelling, Customer-facing solutions proposals, including scripting of executive summaries, TCO and ROI narratives, functional descriptions, and pricing strategies.
    • In close collaboration with senior leadership, develop business objectives, KPI, and related targets for one-, three-, and five-year horizons. Monitor and report on achievement against targets.
    • Drive the division's long-term growth and financial performance in the Segment.
    • Provide, on an as-needed basis, business development and sales support in other served segments, including, for example, Cement, Ports and Terminals, and Power.

    QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES

    • BS degree in Engineering or demonstrated functional equivalent. MBA also preferred.
    • 7 to 10 years’ experience in bulk material handling sales and business development, or engineering / consulting environment.
    • Strategic mindset able to evaluate Customer preference and build strong senior-level relationships.
    • Demonstrated, actionable knowledge of competitive landscape in the Segment.
    • Able to set and meet goals; sincere care for others; overwhelming desire to win and to be part of a winning team.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously while leveraging a team environment for success.
    • Ability to travel 50% or more and to work in a global team of interdisciplinary professionals.

     

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Verifiable and actionable network of cultivated relationships with key influencers and decision makers at EPCMs and Owners in the Mining and Minerals segments.
    • Experience with EPCM contracts and public bidding processes.
    • Strong understanding of Customer and market dynamics and requirements in the Segment.
    • Experience selling high-dollar, complex capital system solutions in a competitive market.
    • Demonstrably successful leadership in hands-on execution of sales growth strategies with an emphasis on growth processes.
    • Verifiable track record of articulating business and solutions strategies that drive Customer success and grow company market share.
    • Strong financial acumen and strong analytical skills in business metrics and forecast modeling, as well as ability quickly to design realistic action plans to (i) bring about change and (ii) effectively assign and manage tasks to accomplish goals.
    • Proficiency in the use of technology, including CRM software, to manage and grow the business.
