    Job Description

     The HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR will support BGIS’ talent acquisition and retention efforts by ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.

    PURPOSE STATEMENT:   PERFORMS A NUMBER OF TASKS THAT SUPPORT THE ONGOING OPERATIONS OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM.  MAY INCLUDE ADMINISTERING, TRACKING, AND/OR PERFORMING SUPPORT ACTIVITIES FOR EMPLOYEE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT, EMPLOYEE ON-BOARDING, LICENSING, SECURITY STANDARDS, EMPLOYEE BENEFITS, LEAVE OF ABSENCES AND TERMINATIONS.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    _     CUSTOMER SERVICE_

    • Provides excellent customer service to BGIS team members who need to access human resources and training information.  Responds to questions and and/or directs questions to appropriate HR resource.

    _     EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT_

    • Administers access to on-line education resources such as Skillport and analyzes data. May assist with enrollment, course updates, etc.
    • Administers content distribution for e learning (loading, testing, etc.) and U.S. intranet content.

    _     HUMAN RESOURCE OPERATIONS_

    • On boards new employees by conducting first day orientation sessions and processing I-9 paperwork.
    • Responsible for team member background and drug checks as well as duties that support the various security requirements of BGIS and its clients.
    • Oversees legal compliance of employment posters for federal, state and local job sites. Manages third party vendor.
    • Data entry of HRIS information including: new hires, transfers, separations, job changes, pay changes, etc…
    • Prepares special reports and research.
    • Screens and directs BGIS HR inquires, responding appropriately.
    • Track team member PTO balances in compliance with state and federal laws. 
    • Supports leave of absence administration processes and resolves issues.
    • Provides for support for company programs including: Employee Survey, Memorable Moments, etc…
    • Supports HR sponsored company events.
    • Maintains and setup team events, video and phone conferences as needed.  May act as host for webinar events.
    • Maintains team member electronic files.
    • Other duties as assigned.

            ​REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Communications, Business or other related subject areas preferred or equivalent work experience required.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
    • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
