The BI Data Analyst/Modeler is responsible for analyzing and modeling payments data to support the organization’s business objectives. This role focuses on leveraging Business Intelligence tools, especially Power BI, to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and model payments data to enhance business performance metrics and inform strategic decisions.
- Utilize Power BI for creating, maintaining, and interpreting dashboards, offering stakeholders clear insights into data trends and anomalies.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of large volumes of payments data, organizing it for user consumption to identify trends, areas of concern, and accomplishments.
- Develop predictive models and analytics to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
- Identify discrepancies and deviations in payments data, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and publish periodic reports, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve data-related issues promptly.
- Maintain documentation and databases to support data tracking and performance analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, operations, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with database structures and proficiency in using standard query and reporting tools.
- Strong skills in Business Intelligence platforms, specifically Power BI, and in data modeling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to facilitate collaboration and ensure the accuracy of analytic models.
- Ability to fully analyze and model high volumes of payments data, organizing it effectively for user consumption.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Must be working from home within 50 miles of an NGS or Elevance Health Location and be ready to work from any of the offices if requested in the future.
