Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with reporting tools, software platforms, and related analytical applications.
- Demonstrated experience as a BI Developer, delivering interactive reports, dashboards, visualizations, and robust data models.
- Advanced querying and transformation skills using SQL, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and Power Query (M).
- Python expertise, with the ability to write clean, efficient code for data transformation, validation, and automation, leveraging libraries such as pandas, Apache Arrow (PyArrow), and Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse APIs.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and Microsoft Fabric/Spark notebooks to process large-scale datasets, build transformation pipelines, and enable scalable data engineering solutions.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining Microsoft Fabric data pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, and Lakehouse tables.
- Solid understanding of Delta tables, medallion architecture, incremental refresh strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve data pipeline failures, refresh issues, schema changes, and data inconsistencies across multiple data layers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational and financial processes into accurate, scalable data models.
- Comparable experience working within cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of Kusto Query Language (KQL) for real-time intelligence, telemetry, and log analytics within Fabric.
- Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Understanding of data security and governance principles, including role-based access control (RBAC), compliance, and data stewardship frameworks.
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer certification (completed or in progress).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems/technology, finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, plus five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including report development and technical requirements analysis.
- An equivalent combination of advanced education, professional training, and related experience will be considered.
