Job Description

The Tax Accountant will assure assigned tax reporting requirements are prepared accurately and filed timely with applicable taxing jurisdictions.  In addition, conduct research and apply jurisdictional tax laws and regulations for compliance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain Tax Calendar
• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns
• Prepare and file tax extensions
• Reconcile and integrate state apportionment factors
• Prepare book vs. tax account differences
• Prepare quarterly estimated income and franchise tax computations and payments
• Administer fixed asset calculation and reports
• Assist with periodic tax provision calculations
• Assist with yearend tax provision reporting
• Assist with IFRS financial reporting packages, including tax account reconciliations
• Assist with cash forecasting for taxes
• Prepare quarterly tax reserve workpapers
• Prepare foreign reporting
• Prepare annual transfer pricing calculation
• Prepare various tax data for federal and state/local jurisdictional audits
• Coordinate internal data requests
• Assist with research initiatives
• Analyze Exemption Certificates
• Compile data for property and sales tax filings
• Prepare government filings, including census surveys, excise returns, FBAR, etc.
• Administer tax retention policy

Qualifications

• B.S. – Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years public and/or private corporate tax experience
• Experience with CorpTax Software a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
