Our pharmaceutical manufacturing client is building a new, state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical facility in the Raleigh–Durham area and is growing their Engineering team to support this flagship site.

    About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Document Control & BIM/CAD Support Specialist to join the Engineering Document Control group.

This is a hybrid role combining:

    • ~80% Revit/CAD/BIM support for engineering and project teams
    • ~20% engineering document control using a Meridian EDMS

You will be a key support resource helping ensure that Revit models, drawings, and related engineering documents are accurate, consistent, and properly controlled throughout design, construction, and startup.

    What You’ll Do

    Revit / BIM / CAD Support (~80%)

    • Provide day-to-day Revit support to multi-discipline engineering teams (e.g., architectural, structural, MEP, utilities/process).
    • Help configure and maintain Revit templates, views, and sheet sets to align with client standards.
    • Support file exports and conversions (Revit ↔ DWG, PDF) for internal use and for external partners.
    • Apply redlines and markups from engineers and project managers to models and drawings.
    • Assist in preparing and quality checking drawing packages for design, construction, and as-built documentation.
    • Help enforce CAD/BIM standards, including file naming, numbering, and drafting best practices.

    Engineering Document Control (~20%)

    • Support the Engineering Document Control team using Meridian EDMS:
      • Assist with document registration, metadata entry, and classification of engineering drawings and models.
      • Help manage revision and version control, ensuring current approved versions are clearly identified.
      • Support transmittals and submittals between the client, EPCs, and vendors.
    • Ensure Revit drawings and models are properly stored and linked in Meridian in accordance with established procedures.
    • Follow structured document control workflows that support a regulated, audit-ready environment.

    What We’re Looking For

    Required

    • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit on multi-discipline facility, industrial, or large commercial projects.
    • Experience providing Revit/CAD support to other users (not just using Revit for your own designs).
    • Exposure to engineering document control concepts:
      • Revision and version control
      • Working within an EDMS (Meridian strongly preferred, but similar systems considered)
    • Background working in a structured, project-based environment (e.g., industrial manufacturing, pharma/biotech, advanced facilities, or heavy industrial).
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort following standards and procedures.
    • Ability to work onsite in the Raleigh–Durham area and collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and document controllers.

    Preferred

    • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech projects or facilities.
    • Direct experience with Meridian EDMS.
    • Experience with related tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Docs/BIM 360.
    • Familiarity with GxP/cGMP or other regulated environments.

    Why This Role?

    • Join during the startup phase of a brand-new, state-of-the-art biopharma facility in the Raleigh–Durham area.
    • Work at the intersection of BIM/CAD technology and engineering documentation.
    • Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering and project teams on high-impact work.
    • Competitive hourly compensation and a chance to gain valuable experience in a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Compensation
    $93,000-$110,000 per year
