    BIM Designer

    Maple Grove, MN | Direct Hire | $70,000 – $95,000 | Hybrid

    Konik is partnering with a growing, technology-driven contractor to add a BIM Designer to their Virtual Construction team. This role focuses heavily on Revit-based modeling to support prefabrication, coordination, and field execution across complex construction projects.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both technical modeling and process improvement, and wants to be part of a collaborative team driving innovation in how projects are designed, coordinated, and built.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain BIM/CAD standards, workflows, and best practices across projects
    • Create and manage detailed 3D models with a focus on constructability and prefabrication readiness
    • Perform clash detection and coordination to ensure conflict-free installations
    • Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to establish and execute BIM execution plans
    • Support project teams with modeling, annotations, and construction documentation
    • Participate in coordination meetings and communicate model updates effectively
    • Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies, tools, and modeling techniques
    • Create project-specific content and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency
    • Support field teams through site visits, verification, and as-built modeling
    • Generate files for layout and field technology systems

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of experience in BIM, CAD, or VDC within a construction-related environment
    • Strong proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD (3D modeling required)
    • Experience with Navisworks or other coordination tools preferred
    • Understanding of construction systems and how designs translate to field installation
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
    • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
    • Associate’s degree in a related technical program or equivalent experience
