    Job Title: Warehouse Associate

    Position Type: Full time / Hourly

    JOB SUMMARY:  Underthe direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position will be responsiblefor the day-to-day activities of the company’s Pick & Pack-Shipment of foodproduct orders to customers, ensuring timely inventory, storage, preparation,and distribution center activities. The Warehouse Associate ensures the customer'sproduct is packed accurately to eliminate any possible errors or damage thatcould be caused from shipment.

    TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must maintain good attendance and safe work practices
    • Receiving and pulling orders, packing, and shipping products are in company issued boxes
    • Pack items in tote or box as marked and ensure that items are properly packed, wrapped properly, no heavy items on crushable items, tape on caps of liquids.
    • Ensure that designated items are properly placed in plastic bags when necessary.
    • Scan ULL to record picking/packing data.
    • Ensure that all required paperwork is completed, packing slips placed in totes/boxes, customer label properly affixed top tote/box, packer number placed in designated area of picking slips, and placement of ULL on side of tote.
    • Maintain a work area that is clean and re-stocked with necessary items for the following shift.
    • Training employees involved in shipping, receiving, transferring and material handling in accurate order processing
    • Make sure the warehouse is always clean and neat. Organize warehouse to gain more effective storage space and equipment usage hours and repairs.
    • Working in Freezer section to support staffing levels when needed.   
    • Other duties as assigned.

          

    RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS: The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Warehouse Mgr. but may work closely with other management team members and with internal support staff. Optimally, over time, the Warehouse Associate will have increased opportunity and assume increased responsibility for meeting department’s needs. It is therefore necessary that the Warehouse Associate maintain a satisfactory client relationship, relating to vendors, clients, and fellow team members in a mature, thoughtful, professional, and pleasant manner. Minimally, the Warehouse Associate must display a demeanor that exhibits our Core Values, as well as show empathy, patience, understanding and a genuine interest in others.

    EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

    • High School degree or equivalent
    • Prefer minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere.
    • Prefer Forklift Certified
