OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT

Primary job duties include:

• Rebate Accounting
• Import Accounting / Landed Cost Variances
• Job kit Profitability Calculations
• Accounts Payable
• Auditing Vendor Bills (i.e. freight and 2PL vendors)
• Accounts Receivable / Cash Application / Soft Collections
• Sales Tax Reporting
• Financial Reporting
• Maintenance of electronic filing systems
• Primary liaison with Operations to ensure the back-end accounting is accurate and up to date with the front-end of the business
• Creating and tracking consignment inventory
• Assembling kits (in Quickbooks)
• General Office Management
• Sales and Customer Support

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and will be responsible for making sure that the monthly financial statements are accurate. This means not only having expertise on using Quickbooks but also understanding the impact of every transaction that is entered on the balance sheet and/or profit & loss statement.

Basic IT/computer knowledge is helpful to be able to keep our network running (and the printers working, etc…).

Finally, this job will include managing the B-to-C side of the business (business to consumer or business to end-user). This is primarily about keeping adequate inventory in our Amazon store but also involves interacting with consumers/end-users as needed and helping resolve occasional customer issues. Some experience with online sales is helpful but not required.

Part-time 25 - 30 hours/week; Current office hours are 10 am-3 pm, subject to change. Please note: Only local, qualified candidates will be considered for this position.
